In the Inuit Culture masks are mainly used for dancing in religious ceremonies or festivals. They were performed for the enjoyment of both onlooker and performer. The masks themselves were made of spruce or cottonwood and carved with metal tools. In the Inuit culture masks had a great amount of meaning.
