The polar bear is the most important animal according to the Inuit. He reigns as king on the ice floe. One of the Inuit legends says that the Inuk hopes to reincarnate as a bear in his next life. When his spirit finally reincarnates into a bear, it is filled with such immense happiness that it begins to dance.
