Nuveeya Ipellie was from Iqaluit, Nunavut Territory. He was the father of the Inuit carver Seepee Ipellie and grand-father of Jomie Aipeelee. He worked on serpentine stone and his main subject matter were animals such as  muskoxen, owls, shamans and other.
