Born in 1962 (Nunavut)

Igah Hainnu is a well established artist from Nunavut. He likes to work with basalt, a black volcanic stone which is very hard to sculpt. Sometimes, he adds details to his pieces with white marble and/or caribou antler. His work is influenced by his peoples culture, their stories and traditions as well as by his direct environment.
