Eva Noah was born to unilingual parents, the late Silas Aittauq and Peggy Qablunaaq, in Baker Lake, Nunavut. She was also raised by late grandmother Jessie Oonark, a world-renowned artist.

She hails from an artistic family. Eva often depicts owls in her felt wall hangings.
