Born September 15, 1941 (Baker Lake, Nunavut)

Thomas Sevoga is an artist from Baker Lake. He carves medium to large pieces from local dark gray to black stone (basalt) which, although hard, generally accepts detail and polish. In 1965, Thomas Sevoga attended an experimental graphic design workshop in Baker Lake.

The artist is now married to the artist from Baker Lake; Nancy Kangeryuaq.

Thomas Sevoga has several collections across America, in fact he has exhibited at the Amway Environmental Foundation, Dennos Museum Center, Eskimo Museum, Inuit Cultural Institute, Art Gallery of Ontario, Mendel Art Gallery, Musee des beaux -arts de Montréal, National Gallery of Canada, Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center, Toronto-Dominion Bank Collection, University of Alberta and at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
