Adamie Quamagiaq

Born September 17 1990 (Cape Dorset, Nunavut)

Adamie Quamagiaq inherits a legacy of artistry, learning the craft from his father, Pauloosie Qaumagiaq, from a young age. Like his father, Adamie is drawn to sculpting owls, a subject that has become synonymous with their family’s artistic tradition. Both artists are known for their unique and charming Owl sculptures.

Adamie’s owls are so distinguishable that you can tell immediately that it is by him. The eyes he creates onto his owls add depth and electricity to his pieces. This style of eyes is seen for all of his owl compositions. They add a beautiful contrast against the dark serpentine.

Despite his youth, Adamie’s talent is evident, promising a future of artistic excellence and innovation within the realm of Inuit art.
